SUMMARY:Tech Free Tuesday - Unplug + Bounce Around
DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Oshkosh Arena for a night free of screens. Race through giant indoor inflatable obstacle courses for a night of tech free fun. Open for all ages\, please be considerate of others of different abilities and ages. \nSMART Social stands for Social Media Awareness\, Responsibility\, and Tools\, and its mission is to build a\nhealthier Oshkosh\, online and offline\, by:\n• Educating community members about the effects of social media and screens on health\n• Providing resources for parents\, educators\, and kids to develop balanced technology habits\n• Building community dialogue through events\, workshops\, and expert-led discussions\n• Advocating for behavioral shifts that prioritize well-being in the digital age \nThe campaign\, which runs through June\, focuses on five digital themes negatively impacting brain\ndevelopment and mental health\, including: Addictive Behaviors (February)\, Misinformation (March)\,\nSleep Deprivation (April)\, Social Comparison (May)\, and Cyberbullying (June).\nEach theme addresses digital behavior through education\, resources\, partnerships\, and community-wide\nevents such as activity-sponsored tech-free nights at local businesses in February and a community-wide PJ Day in April. \nWhat to Expect:\nThe Women’s Fund will manage registration for each of the “Tech-Free” events through our online\nplatform. This will include liability and photography waivers. We will provide each event host with a\nregistered participant list the Monday before the scheduled Tuesday events. We will also have WF\nvolunteers at high-traffic event locations to help check in registered participants during the allotted time\nfor the event. \n
