Job Title: Food and Beverage Manager

 The Food and Beverage Manager will provide strategic direction, oversee concession and bar operations, build quality teams, implement new concepts, and drive sales. The Food and Beverage Manager will work with the Manager of Maple Pub as well as cooks. You will report directly to the Assistant General Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide F&B leadership and direction resulting in a superior guest experience satisfaction
  • Work with AGM and GM on Training and development programs
  • Monitor and maintain Food and Beverage safety and sanitation, recipe documentation, execution, and quality controls
  • Ensures that all special events are executed properly, to the guests’ satisfaction
  • Maintain all Arena Standards
  • Work directly with GM and AGM in the continuous development of new service techniques towards maximum guest satisfaction, improving per person spending at minimum operating costs
  • Initiate the development of new and analyzes existing procedures and special promotions that will improve guest patronage, frequency of return and revenue center profit under the guidelines of Company’s policies
  • Work closely with local, state and governmental organizations in maintaining highest standards or health, sanitation and cleanliness in food and beverage areas
  • Supervise the handling of all guest complaints in the food and beverage areas
  • Demonstrate and instill a sense of character, integrity and quality to enhance the continuing long-range growth and profitability of the Food & Beverage department within the venue
  • Identify, develop and retain high potential employees to build bench strength
  • Create and maintain framework for strong interdepartmental communication to effectively implement cross promotional goals
  • Collaborate with internal sales team to sell and execute special events with prospective clients upon request
  • Create concession and bar employee schedules
  • Assist in hiring and training new staff
  • Complete monthly inventory
  • Order all concession and beverage needs for upcoming engagements as well as working with kitchen staff to order inventory needed for pub
  • Regularly review product quality and research new vendors
  • Report all maintenance issues immediately to ensure safety of all patrons and staff
  • Utilize point of sale system – price changes, editing time punches, enter inventory, analyze daily reporting and various other POS reports

 Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years restaurant F&B operations with a proven knowledge and understanding of F&B business and operations
  • Multi-unit restaurant leadership experience highly preferred
  • Must have ability to work within a corporate environment and as part of a multi-disciplined team of Food & Beverage and entertainment executives
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be highly skilled in Microsoft Office and Compete or similar hospitality software management system
  • Must have working knowledge of POS systems and back-office reporting systems
  • Must have expertise in the profitability analysis and budgeting
  • Exhibits strong problem-solving skills in long term and immediate situations
  • Must possess a solid understanding of the nightlife industry, promotions and industry trends
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule; Including days, nights, weekends and some holidays.
